Octopus.
What’s the first thing you think of when you look at one? Probably not “Yummy!” Yet someone decided to try it out. Maybe the octopus pissed him off and he decided to eat it out of revenge, or maybe a desperate castaway caught one and decided to give it a try.
And squid? Squid is like creepier octopus.
Regardless, we now have octopus and squid as a food source. People love it. Calamari is one of my favorite foods.
You may be wondering why I’m ranting about octopus. That’s fair.
Octopus is kinda freaky to look at, right? I mean, imagine you see one for the first time with no prior knowledge about them. You’d probably freak out a bit.
But someone faced that fear and now we have delicious octopus sushi and octopus pasta.
It was a continuous fear too, I’d imagine. First you gotta catch and kill the thing, then you gotta take it to someone who can cook it if you can’t yourself, and even if they’re not scared of the thing they’ll definitely look at you like you’re the octopus. Then you gotta eat it and hope you don’t die.
Face your fears. Try something new. Don’t falter (unless your fear is facing an angry rhino, then you have full permission to falter and run).
You never know what you might get out of it.
