Sometimes it’s hard to come up with a blog post, especially if you have to produce one every day for a month. How do I do it?
Here are three of my “secrets.”
Pull a Life Lesson From the Past
Everything you know now you learned somewhere. Maybe learning to ride a bike taught you about patience, or getting your first goldfish taught you about responsibility.
Choose a memory, any memory. Pick it apart and find the lessons hidden there. I promise there’s something. Even if it’s not necessarily where you first learned a lesson, it could contain a good example of one.
Teach Someone Something
If you know about something, tell your readers! Teach them the best way to mow a lawn, take a picture at night, or make their bed. There’s a market for pretty much anything, and the ability to teach is a valuable one.
If you can’t think of anything to teach, learn something yourself, then teach it. Do you want to know how to build a birdhouse? Read other blog posts, watch a
Write an Opinion Piece
Do you hate duck lips? Do you think everyone should own a pet? How do you feel about carpeted floors?
Pay attention to what makes you angry as you go about your day. Pay attention to what makes you happy. Write it down, then analyze it later.
What is it about this thing that makes you so angry/happy/other emotion? You can’t just vent angrily about how you wish your sister would just clean up the trash in her room and not give a reason for it. There has to be a lesson and supporting facts/logic behind it to send people away with something to think about or a changed mind.
There’s content everywhere if you know where to look.
